DURING THE PROCEDURE
Don’t be afraid to ask lots of question or have input on how much medication is needed during the initial consultation. Determining the right dosage means the success of the treatment. Our surgeon will look at the quantity, depth, and location of the wrinkles to make the decision about the amount of BOTOX that will be used (most patients need 1 – 3 syringes). With an ultra-fine syringe, our surgeon will inject at the marked spots with BOTOX. We try our best to make sure the treatment is pain-free, and will give you a cold compress if you need it to alleviate discomfort.
OTHER CONSIDERATIONS
Swelling may occur for 3 – 4 hours after the injection, but patients can return to regular activities immediately. We ask all of our BOTOX patients to skip exercise for 24 hours and to sleep upright the first night after the treatment. Complete results after BOTOX, which include a smoother forehead and diminished wrinkles, are usually visible in about 5 – 7 days. For continuous beauty and to maintain wrinkle-free, radiant skin, the treatment will need to be injected every 3 – 4 months.
